EagleMed 4 Memorial Education Scholarship
Background
In 2005 EagleMed established the memorial fund to be used for the enhancement of education in field of emergency medicine. The fund was established in honor of the EagleMed 4, Dodge City, Kansas flight crew members who lost their lives in February of 2004. In order to carry out their vision, EagleMed is proud to announce the availability of $2,000 in scholarships.
Eligibility
One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student enrolled in an accredited college working towards their degree as a Registered Nurse. One $1,000 scholarship will also be awarded to a full-time student, who is a certified Emergency Medical Technician, enrolled in an accredited paramedic program.
Selection Criteria
These scholarships will be awarded to the students most qualified by academic performance. Measures of academic performance include the cumulative grade point average, relevance of the student’s dedication towards the field of emergency or flight medicine, and a statement regarding their accomplishments within their communities.
Application Process
Applicants should prepare a title page and a summary of their interests, achievements, career goals as related to the profession of emergency medicine, and extracurricular interests. The application must include three letters of reference (preferably from current or past employers, professors, and / or instructors. Transcripts of all courses relevant to the medical field, the applicants full name, permanent mailing address, email address, and a phone number at which she or he may be easily reached must be included in the application process. All required information must be sent in one package.
Deadline
All applications and supportive materials must be received at the EagleMed Corporate office by February 28th.
