EagleMed 7 and EagleMed 21 are the newest additions to the EagleMed fleet. EagleMed 7 is a helicopter based at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. EagleMed 21 is a fixed-wing aircraft based at Sundance Airpark in Yukon, Oklahoma. Both aircraft are staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The Medical Crew is made up of highly trained Nurses and Paramedics and both are capable of flying on either aircraft. Each of the aircraft are staffed with pilots who are type rated in the specific vehicle.
EagleMed 7 is the 6th helicopter in Oklahoma operated by EagleMed. It was placed in Oklahoma City as a result of the partnership between EagleMed and Integris Health System. The aircraft, a Eurocopter AS350B3, services Central Oklahoma and provides a back-up to our aircraft in Northern and Southern Oklahoma. EagleMed 7 is available for on-scene response as well as inter-facility transports.
EagleMed 21 is the first fixed-wing aircraft in Oklahoma to be operated by EagleMed and the only fixed-wing aircraft available 24/7 for emergent response. EagleMed 21, a Beechcraft King-Air C90, serves the entire state of Oklahoma and surrounding states. EagleMed 21 is capable of transporting patients in weather conditions that our fleet of helicopters cannot. EagleMed 21 can transport patients to out-of-state specialty hospitals and has the ability to transport a family member with the patient.
