How long is my membership effective?

Membership lasts one year unless you elect our two or five year membership options. EagleMed will send your renewal information about one month before your membership is due to expire.

Absolutely! EagleMed transports patients based on medical need, not on ability to pay. Patients that are not members however, will be responsible for costs not covered by their insurance companies.

Who pays for EagleMed when a patient is flown?

The amount covered by the insurance company varies from policy to policy. The remaining balance after insurance payment(s) becomes the patient’s responsibility. Who can request EagleMed?

Physicians, hospital personnel, EMS agencies, law enforcement and fire can all request EagleMed to transport patients whenever there is a need. EagleMed is used for life threatening situations when rapid transport to a higher level of care is necessary.
