Critical accidents or illnesses can occur without warning. When life or limb threatening situations occur they often require rapid relocation of the patient by air to the nearest medically appropriate facility. This type of life saving transport can be very costly. Medical insurance usually pays for only a portion of this expense. The insured patients sometimes pay $800 to $3500 dollars in out of pocket expenses for critical care air ambulance service.
As an EagleMed member you will not be billed for any charges over what your insurance pays for an EagleMed flight. This means EagleMed members incur NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE for air ambulance transport by EagleMed. Membership registration is amazingly affordable at only $50 to $60 per year.
Rapid relocation can mean the difference between life and death. If your condition is determined to require air ambulance transport, EagleMed can be activated by your local EMS, Fire Department, State, County or Local Police, Hospital or your physician.
EagleMed transport teams are on duty 24 hours per day, 365 days per year AT ALL BASES to assist the communities we serve. In addition to our outstanding critical care air transport services, the EagleMed membership is one more way we serve the communities surrounding our base areas. By offering this beneficial membership program, all members can utilize the option of our lifesaving medical transport without the financial worry. (Family memberships consist of you, your spouse, and any children living in the home under the age of 21, or that you have legal guardianship and/or are claiming as a dependant.)

Gift Memberships
Eagle memberships make wonderful gifts for family members, friends, work colleagues, or employees. If you would like to purchase a gift membership, please check the gift membership box and complete as much information as you can on the registration form. An EagleMed associate will follow up with your gift recipient for any additional information.
Under the EagleMed membership the following restrictions apply:
- EagleMed membership registration IS NOT INSURANCE. After all insurance payments are made to EagleMed, the patient WILL NOT own any additional payments.
- EagleMed membership covers registered individuals residing in the family dwelling at the time of the registration. Additions to families after the initial registration MUST be sent in writing for listing on the family membership to be considered valid.
- EagleMed does not provide refunds on membership purchases.
- Memberships do not cover ground ambulance services.
- EagleMed transports patients based on medical need, not membership status, and transports patients to the closest medically appropriate facility as directed by approved parties.
- EagleMed memberships take affect within 14 days of competed registration. However, the membership registration will be valid immediately for any UNFORSEEN critical illnesses or incidents requiring emergency transport by EagleMed
- EagleMed cannot guarantee transport of patients exceeding 350 lbs.
